Distribution of bicycles and mobile phones by the Mothers’ Union

For the intention of developing families and households, the Mothers’ Union fellowship which is working in the Diocese of Rumonge, fulfilled the activity of distributing bicycles and mobile phones to 20 facilitators (Abaremeshakiyago) who have been implementing several activities done in groups which are trained to read and write. The aforesaid Mothers’ Union beneficiaries are active in realizing a number of responsibilities and they play a great role in our community through the following domains: teaching families and households in order to strengthen their Christian spiritual foundation which leads them to grow in salvation; teaching adult people writing and reading skills; training concerning parenting skills; teaching community members about saving and loan skills for development; training about fighting against gender violation, diseases, environmental preservation, and other issues. Particularly, during 28th January 2025 in the Cathedrale Kristo Umwami, Rumonge Diocese through Mothers’ Union distributed 20 bicycles and 20 mobile phones to trainings facilitators who have been serving the roles highlighted above aiming to facilitate their transport and communication means in discharging their responsibilities.
