The Diocese of Rumonge organized a workshop aimed at improving collaboration and strengthening synergy with actors in the humanitarian and administrative sectors regarding emergency response. At this workshop, Mr. Damien Ndayihaya, Director of Projects for the Diocese of Rumonge, presented a three-year (2024-2026) diocesan humanitarian strategic plan that defines the objectives, priorities, and actions to be implemented to meet humanitarian needs in crises.
In this workshop, which lasted two days, on 28th and 29th, January 2026, guests responded to the invitation, including a representative of the administrator of the commune of Rumonge, a representative of Women’s FORUM in the commune of Rumonge, a representative of the Red Cross, as well as representatives of different organizations which were carrying out this activity to respond to emergencies in the commune of Rumonge.
The guests took the floor to express their appreciation of the document, indicating that they admired the presentation of this document and emphasizing that the collaboration of the Diocese of Rumonge with other organizations is an essential act which facilitates the achievement of the objectives of the humanitarian plan; not only for the diocese, but also for the entire platform of organizations responding to emergencies in the humanitarian context.
